Surely it was an unusual scene for Bangladeshi supporters to watch Mushfiq to go for the toss wearing white dress, since Bangladesh had not played a test match for 14 months. However, it is seeming so far that this long gap has not put any rust on Bangladeshi bowlers’ performance. Bangladesh did exceedingly well during the first session, specially during the first 10 overs. Thanks to Mehedi Hasan Miraz, the debutant, who sent two English batsmen by two superb deliveries.
England has won the toss and decided to bat first. But Bangladeshi bowlers put them into pressure from the very first over of the inning and at a moment they were 21 for 3. Since then, Moeen Ali and Joe Root put a partnership of 60 runs. Bangladeshi bowlers, however, create some chances to get them, even Ali was given out by an awesome delivery from Shakib. But he survived by taking review as the bowl kissed his bat first.
After the first session England are on 81 for 3. Bangladesh has made three debuts in this match- Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Sabbir Rahman and Kamrul Islam Rabbi. On the other hand, Ben Duckett has made his debut for England.
