Alison Blake, the British High Commissioner to Bangladesh invited the Bangladesh and England Cricket Team to her residence in a welcoming party and dinner on 25 October.
The High Commissioner praised the sportsmanship and performances from both sets of players. She asked the players to become role models for young people across the globe. She expressed her delight that the England team took time out today to see and hear about some of UK Aid’s work here in Bangladesh to support those working to prevent violence against women and support the survivors.
Bangladesh Cricket Board’s Vice President Mahbubul Anam thanked ECB and British High Commision for their efforts to make this tour happen.
England Cricket Board’s Chief Executive Officer Tom Harrison was impressed by the security details in both Chittagong and Dhaka. He also praised the Bangladesh Test performance wishing them well.
