Widely anticipated to take the leading role in Bangladesh cricket next years, it’s not been so long Mahmudullah became an automatic choice for his national side. But no sooner had he picked up a formidable form, this cool-headed man’s dream-run than saw Bangladesh in the quarter final of the last ODI world cup. Mahmudullah is still flying to shape a consistent top order in the Tigers’ batting line up for all three formats.
Captaining in all previous BPL seasons, Mahmudullah’s commanding skills shot into the limelight especially in the last edition where he raised a seemingly ordinary side, Barisal Bulls, to the final. He also captained the Chittagong Kings, runner-up of the second BPL. The ‘captain cool’ character of him have had featured in Dhaka Premier Division ODI League too as he championed two different teams in back-to-back occasions.
In this BPL edition, Mahmudullah will hold the baton for a new franchise Khulna Titans.
