Gazi Tyre Cricketers Hunt finishes with a Grand Finale

The hunt for finding the next generation of cricketing superstar comes to an end with the Grand Finale of Gazi Tyre Cricketer’s Hunt. The Grand Finale was held on 2 November at International Convention City. The honorable member of the parliament and the president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board Nazmul Hasan Papon was the chief guest of this rapturous occasion. The special guest of honor was decorated by the honorable member of the parliament and the parliament and the chairman of Gazi Group Golam Dastagir Gazi, Bir Pratik. The deputy managing director of Gazi Groups, Gazi Golam Mortuza, Gazi Ashria and other high officials of the company and members of Bangladesh Cricket Board also graced the occasion with their presence.

Gazi Tyre started this countrywide hunt for finding new generation of cricketers to search and nourish the hidden talents embedded in remote areas of our country who do not possess enough abilities to realize their talent to become a national level talent. From over 25000 applicants, 68 were primarily selected to go through the boot camp in Savar under the guidance of the former national team coach Salahuddin. Finally 22 youngsters were selected for the “Gazi Golam Dastagir Cricket Scholarship” and among them Humayun was named the best batsman, Raja the best pace bowler, Jayed the best spin bowler and Hasib was named the best wicketkeeper.

The honorable chief guest and the president of Bangladesh Cricket Board, Nazmul Hasan Papon praised this effort to inspire the younger talents to play cricket. He also said as we are the rising power in the cricketing world, finding newer generation of cricketing talent can only strengthen the current crop of talents and propel us forward to a better future.

The honorable special guest proclaimed his interest in helping Bangladesh Cricket to stand in a higher stage and pledged that Gazi Group will always be on the side of Bangladesh Cricket to fulfill this dream.
