Chittagong Vikings and Rajshahi Kings will face each other Friday noon at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong. Both teams are struggling with their position on the point table having only one win to their names. However, the Vikings have played five matches while the Kings have played three so far.
Vikings have conceded their consecutive 4th loss Thursday against Dhaka Dynamites in front of a huge home crowd. They have lost two close matches to Khulna and Barisal. Skipper Tamim has been flourishing with bat regularly, while his opening partner Dwayne Smith is yet to pick his form. Their Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi is performing well throughout the tournament, his bad luck to see his side defeated continuously. With some big guns in the squad, Tamim and Co. are desperate to turn around at their home ground.
However, their comeback mission won’t be an easy task as the Rajshahi Kings have proven their capability by now, albeit losing 2 of their 3 opening fixtures in nail-biting contests. Their batsmen have sunk the ship both times, on the verge of winning thrillers. Nevertheless, the Kings will look forward to climbing up the table from the beginning of 2nd Phase. Will they be able to knock down the home-side?
