Another nail-biting contest and the Rajshahi kings made it this time as they beat the Dhaka Dynamites by 3 wickets. Set a target of 183, Rajshahi got past the finish line with 1 ball to spare. The Kings have now two wins to their names playing 6 matches and both against the Dynamites.

9 runs needed from the final over, Abul Hossain charged Coles down the wicket to sky it over to DJ Bravo at long-on. Miraz managed a single from the next ball to give Farhad Reza the strike who heaved toward mid-wicket region to bring up a vital four. Another single from the 4th delivery and equation came down to 3 from 2. A fuller on off stump and Miraz craved through backward point boundary to clinch the much needed win for them in a style.

In pursuit of a huge target, RK lost two top order batsmen within 4 overs. Nasir caught a stunner on the long-on boundary to remove Sabbir. However, a crucial 100-run stand between Mominul Haque and Samit Patel kept the Kings in the fight. Mimi’s 56 came off 42 smashing 8 fours and 1 six. Samith Patel lasted a bit longer as he scored 75 off 39 balls with 5 fours and 6 sixes. Couple of quick losses then made things harder for Rajshahi. Nevertheless, their lower middle order held nerve to chase it down successfully.

Opting to bat first, Mehedi Maruf and Kumar Sangakkara gave Dhaka a dazzling start who added 71 on the card together off 52 balls. Sanga then put another 48 runs with Mosaddek to notch up his first fifty (66 off 46 with 5 fours and 3 sixes) in this BPL season, before edging to Abul Hasan at short fine leg, beat by a slower delivery from Farhad Reza. Later on, DD’s another Lankan recruit Seekkuge Prasanna stormed again to post 34 off 16 with 2 fours and 3 sixes which boosted Dhaka total past 180.
