A flying Rangpur Riders side have clinched their 4th win of the season so far defeating the Khulna Titans by 7 wickets to replace them on top of the point table. Set a target of 126, the Riders gunned down the runs in just 19 overs.
Opting to bat first, KHT were reduced to 38/3 in 7.1 overs. Riki Wessels (27) and Taibur Rahman (32) then put a 56-run stand off 55 balls to repair early losses. Both of them were dismissed off a single over from Rubel Hossain. Ariful Haque then brought a quick 22 from 13 to raise the total past 120-mark. For Rangpur, Arafat Sunny, Shahid Afridi and Rubel Hossain claimed 2 wickets each.
While chasing, RR’s regular performer Mohammad Mithun made two firm partnerships, first one of 74 from 60 with Mohammad Shahzad (37) and then 35 off 27 with Shahid Afridi (26) to sail the ship home. Mithun was not out on 49 off 41 with 1 four and 3 sixes.
