Second day of NCL round 4 has witnessed some dramatic comeback with ball and also some tremendous bowling performance.
In reply of Dhaka Metropolis’ 166 runs, Dhaka Division got all out by 187 runs in the tier 1 match at Fatullah. Shahidul Islam and Mohammad Ashraful took 3 wickets each. However, in the second innings, Dhaka Metropolis is also quivering as they lost 4 wickets by the end of Day 2 scoring only 27 runs. Mohammad Sharif bowled brilliantly in the late afternoon and picked up two wickets giving only 2 runs in his 6.5 overs. Mohammad Ashraful is kept unbeaten and he has to do something brilliant to pull up Dhaka Metropolis tomorrow.
Another tier 1 match is being held at BKSP in which Khulna has ended their first innings with a massive lead of 200 runs. Anamul Haque scored a brilliant knock of 136 runs and skipper Tushar Imran accompanied him also with a sensational century of 108 runs. Barisal ended the day scoring 10 runs without any stumble.
In Bogra, Sylhet have scored 219 runs in reply of Rajshahi’s 204 runs in the tier 2 game. Abul Hasan remained not out on 59 runs whereas Farhad Reza achieved a fifer. Rajshahi in their second innings scored 92 runs losing three wickets. Junaid Siddique will start tomorrow with his knock of 42 runs.
In Sylhet, Rangpur put a massive total of 450 runs riding on the century of Suhrawadi Shuvo. He scored 121 runs and made a solid partnership with the tail-ender Alauddin Babu. Babu scored 64 runs. In reply, Chittagong ended the day scoring 82 runs with 8 wickets intact.
