The young sensation of Bangladesh cricket Mustafizur Rahman has been declared fit to play the first ODI against New Zealand at Christchurch today. He had an injury on his neck and had to go under the scissors of surgeons while he visited Surrey to play English domestic T20 league.
Mustafiz bowled 7 overs in the practice match against New Zealand XI and also secured 2 wickets. He was also very much content with his stock deliveries as he didn’t feel any pain or pressure while bowling in the match. The team management was worried about his throwing capability but Mustafiz, himself claimed that it was okay.
However, the coach Chandika is reluctant to allow 80/90 percent fit Mustafiz to play. Rather he wants totally fit Mustafiz and doesn’t want to make any hurried decision regarding Mustafiz considering his long term future.
The team physician declared Mustafiz fit but the decision has been left on Mustafiz himself whether he will play or not. Mustafiz hasn’t make sure anything yet and will take the decision just before the match.
