Mushfiqur Rahim has been declared unfit to play next ODIs against New Zealand due to his hamstring injury. He got injured in the first ODI while taking a single and had to retire hurt on 42.
Mushfiq will undergo through another scan tomorrow to understand the extent of the injury and the physio is apprehending that he may miss the T20 series as well.
Mushfiq has been replaced by Nurul Hasan Sohan but the coach Chandika is disappointed after losing his one of the best performers, “He has been performing as a keeper in all three formats for very long time. Obviously it’s a shock for us but it’s also a part of the game.”
Bangladesh will face New Zealand at Nelson in the second ODI of the series.
