It is always difficult to concentrate on a game apparently valueless but Bangladesh team will face New Zealand tomorrow for gaining some respects back. Bangladesh lost the first two ODIs and have already lost the series.

Mashrafe Mortaza accused the lack of patience in the batsmen during the post-match press conference yesterday for losing an easier game on a track suitable to bat on. He also grieved for the missed opportunity and anticipated that it would be difficult for the team members to overcome such a loss. However, he was also very much optimistic and reckoned that all members would fight to regain some glories in the last ODI and would try their best to avoid 3-0 defeat.

Bangladesh have created opportunities in the last two games but didn’t able to reap those in their favor. In the first game, bowling was concern while in the second, where bowlers were outstanding, batsmen just threw away bowlers’ efforts by some impatience batting. Coach Hathurusingha clearly expressed his disappointment during the press-conference as Bangladeshi batsmen gave away their wickets to Kane Williamson. “I think he (Williamson) did really well, he took up wickets. It was not our plan that we have to face him. He is an occasionally bowler but he did bowl beautifully. The credit should go to him but again I think that we should have handled him better.”

The last match of the series will be held at the same ground, Nelson. Team management is still unsure about the first XI whether they will keep it unchanged or not. Lack of a solid middle order batsman was prominent in the second game as Mushfiq were absent and will be so for this match and for the T20 series. The coach and the skipper have to really work hard to find a suitable combination.

The game will start at 4 AM Bangladesh time.
