Bangladesh revolved in the problem of sudden batting collapse despite of starting well all through the ODI series and ultimately lost all three games. In the New Year, each Bangladeshi supporter is hoping that their team has learnt from those mistakes. The first game of the three match T20 series will be commenced tomorrow in Napier.

Bangladesh has got success in ODI format in the recent past but all players were actually embroiled in incessant T20 matches because of Bangladesh Premier League. The skipper, Mashrafe Mortaza, reckons this fact as a big advantage for the away side.

In the international level, however, Bangladesh accrued some bad memories in the last tournament they had played. They lost all four matches in the ICC T20 World Cup including the match against India where they had lost by 1 run. But Shakib al Hasan is very much optimistic and doesn’t think that past records will pose any impact on the upcoming series. “I don’t think we are morally down. The team still is very freshened and cheered up. But it’s true that we had a huge opportunity in that series. It is negative in a sense but at the same time it can be taken as a positive aspect and we should believe that we have the capabilities to make anything possible.”

Selectors have made two changes for the T20 series from the squad of ODI. Taijul Islam and Shuvagata Hom have got the call whereas Miraz and Tanbir have been ruled out.

The match will begin at 12 PM Bangladesh time.
