The final round of National Cricket League is on the ground again to decide the title winner of this season. After the end of 5th round, Khulna Division were on the top of tier 1 point table with 44 points and Dhaka Division were following them with 37 points.
Dhaka Division have started their final match nicely and ended the first day scoring 300 runs losing 3 wickets against Barisal Division. Bangladesh U19 skipper, Saif Hassan, remained unbeaten with a magnificent knock of 131 runs. Taibur Rahman has also ended the day with his unbeaten 70 and together they put 126 runs partnership. Dhaka Division had started their innings with a stumble as Rony Talukder departed on very first ball of the day. But another opener, Zahiduzzaman, scored a fifty and put a 100 run second wicket partnership with Saif Hassan.
In another tier 1 match, Khulna Division toiled really hard after being enforced to bat on by Dhaka Metropolis. Khulna have scored 207 runs losing all their wickets and except Anamul Haque Bijoy, no other batsman was able to put a decent score. Dolar Mahmud has clinched five wickets for Dhaka Metropolis. However, Dhaka Metro are not in a suitable condition as well as they have already lost 3 wickets for scoring only 37 runs.
Tier 2 point table was also offering some intense fight in the final round as Rangpur and Rajshahi were separated by only three points after round 5. The clash between them in the sixth round has become the unofficial finale of tier 2 in which Rangpur Division have won the toss and elected to field first. Their bowlers have executed outstanding performance as they packed Rajshahi by 191 runs. Farhad Hossain scored a fifty for Rajshahi whereas Mohammad Saddam secured 5 wickets for Rangpur. In reply, Rangpur have ended the day scoring 89 runs with 6 wickets in hand. Liton Das remained unbeaten on 41 runs.
The dead rubber between Sylhet and Chittagong has witnessed batting triumph of Sylhet batsmen. Imtiaz Hossain has scored a big hundred. Rajin Saleh and Alok Kapali have also scored fifty plus innings. Sylhet have ended the day with 309 runs for 4.
