Bangladesh are desperately looking to win a match in New Zealand to end their ongoing losing streak. Tomorrow they will face New Zealand on the second T20I match in Mount Maungunui. Bangladeshi players are very much hopeful to bring a positive result from this match as the condition is pretty much alike to their home.
Batting collapse has become the main affliction for Bangladesh in this tour and cankered their chances to win a match. Sabbir Rahman, however, expressed this optimism that players had learnt from their mistakes and in the next match they would prove their capabilities. “We are not playing well doesn’t mean that we will never play well. We are focusing on our mistakes and everyone in the team is trying to improve himself. Hopefully we will comeback in the next match.”
Sabbir blamed himself for that poor dismissal in the first T20I and hoped that he would do better in the next game. He praised his bowlers as well. “In the last match, our bowlers took the game to 18th over despite defending a trifle total of 141. If we could score 170-180, then certainly we would have a chance as well. Everyone has to play well, all departments have to click to win a match.”
Bangladesh didn’t make any change from the first T20 squad whereas Broom has been ruled out due to his injury problem from New Zealand squad.
The game will begin at 8 AM Bangladesh time.
