Surprising everyone, Mashrafe Mortaza decided to bowl first after winning the toss in the final T20I of the series on a solid batting track. But the bowlers have bowled really well in the first 8 overs to back his decision and averted Kiwi batsmen to score any easy run. Rubel Hossain was phenomenal as he has struck twice in his second over and really put the opponent in pressure. Spinners were also in charge as Mosaddek and Shakib bowled couple of good overs. But all on a sudden, Williamson and Anderson have kicked the throttle and Bangladeshi bowlers then started to struggle fiercely to find suitable line and length. Together they put a massive partnership of 124 runs in just 72 balls and snatched the control of the match from Bangladesh.
But the credit also goes to the sloppy hands of Shakib and Tamim. They have dropped Williamson in two consecutive overs of Mashrafe. Fielders were reacting nicely during the first phase of the innings but at the end fumbles, misfields have got common and New Zealanders sneaked away doubles in case of singles. Rubel sent back Williamson at the end but Anderson remained not out and broke the Kiwi record of hitting most number of sixes in a T20I innings.
Bangladesh require 195 runs to avoid clean sweep.
