Rain washes of day 3 of the second test match between Bangladesh and New Zealand. It was the steady rain at Hagley Oval which deterred the Bangladesh bowlers from claiming the last few wickets off the Kiwi batting and make a stand with the bat. But persistent rain all through the day in Christchurch made the umpires call off the day at the scheduled start of the last session off the day.
With 17 wickets falling in the span of two days, even with a washed off day this test has the potential to produce a decisive result. Tim Southee and Henry Nicholls will start the day with the bat tomorrow if the weather clears up. The first session will start earlier(3.30am BST) tomorrow due to the loss of one whole day.
