A patient 147 from Fazle Mahmud and two solid fifty plus innings from Mosaddek and Zia guided Prime Bank South Zone to safety on the final day at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, in reply to the massive first innings total of BCB north Zone. Taijul Islam executed brilliant tenacity and persistence to get a reward of fifer but that was proven innocuous to the South Zone as they ultimately put 448 runs on the board.

With the game heading nowhere, umpires declared the match as a drawn as North Zone scored 69 runs from 25 overs in their second innings. A match that began with bat dominating ball ended the same way but South Zone have more causes for satisfaction for holding their nerve under severe scoreboard pressure and after two days hard-work on the field.
