Tamim Iqbal missed out as he got edged by a sharp delivery from Ashwin. The ball then hit his pad, hopped up and went directly to Kohli. A decent partnership was building up by Soumya and Mominul, but Jadeja broke it by placing the ball on the footmark and getting the wicket of Soumya. Mominul also departed then and Bangladesh found themselves into an abyss.
Bangladesh came to bat in their second innings to climb an unsurmountable cusp of 459 runs. India had got the chance to enforce the follow-on on Bangladesh but Virat Kohli decided to bat for the second time. India batted only one session and scored runs over a rate of five to put a total of 159 runs. Shakib and Taskin took two wickets each.
Bangladesh’s early morning was a bizarre. Kumar struck on the very first over as the ball pitched fuller and swung inwards deceiving the bat and pad of Miraz. But Mushfiq was adamant.
