The second day of the Bangladesh Cricket league was another vintage batting show from the experienced Tushar Imran. He crossed the landmark of 9000 runs in the first day. Today, he got even better surpassing his career best innings of 203*. Eventually, when he was bowled by Nasir Hossain, his team South Zone was very close to 500. Chasing the mammoth total, North Zone has already lost 4 wickets in the second day. In the other match, Central Zone is in commanding position after taking 6 wickets of East Zone between 114 runs. Mohammad Sharif starred with both bat and ball.
Tushar held the record of most centuries and most runs in first class cricket before the match. Today he scored another double century. His previous best was unbeaten 203 runs for Khulna division in National league. He scored 220 today of 369 balls with 22 fours and 3 sixes. Shahriar Nafees accompanied him well before dismissing on 74. Mosaddek Hossain also had a good start and had a 96 run partnership with Tushar in sixth wicket. After his dismissal, South zone lost the last 5 wickets within 25 runs. Suhrawadi Shuvo was the most prolific bowler for North Zone taking 4 wickets. Sunzamul Islam and Nasir Hossain got 2 wickets each.
North Zone enjoyed a decent opening partnership of 62 runs. After the departure of Nazmul Hossain and Farhad Hossain, they lost some quick wickets. At the end of the day, they were on 107 runs with 6 wickets in hand. Nahidul make most the damage by taking 3 wickets.
Sharif was unbeaten on 11 on the first day for Central Zone. He scored another 59 runs in the second day. Eventually, Central Zone was all out for 328 runs. Nurul Hasan scored 65. Abu Zayed was the most successful bowler for East Zone taking 5 wickets.
But Sharif was once again mercurial with the ball two. He took 4 wickets in just 7 over in the second day. East Zone was struggling for 114 runs with only 4 wickets in hand.
