Naeem, Nazmul and Afif bagged tons in the second day


It was a day of run fest in the second day of the 5th round of Bangladesh Cricket League. Naeem Islam and Nazmul Hossain grabbed centuries for BCB North Zone. Young Opener Afif Hossain also grabbed a ton for Islami Bank East Zone.

The first day in Sylhet was dominated by the bowlers. Walton Central Zone was all out for 181 in the first second innings. But the second day was all about batsman. After losing 4 wickets for 104, Naeem Islam and Nazmul Hossain built a partnership of 197 runs in the 5th wicket. Nazmul grabbed the first ton in this edition of BCL, while for Naeem it was the third in four matches. Naeem is unbeaten on 133 and have added another valuable 109 runs with Dhiman Ghosh in the 7th wicket. North Zone ended the day scoring 422 runs with 4 wickets in hand. Nazmul scored 123, and Dhiman is unbeaten on 64.

For Islami bank East Zone, Afif Hossain starred with the second century in this seasons BCL. Tasamul Haque also was very close to the three figures, but missed the century for just two runs. Afif and Tasamul added 222 runs in the 3rd wicket. Islami Bank ended the day with 290 runs for 4 wickets. Nazmul Hossain Apu grabbed 2 wickets for Prime Bank South Zone.
