Run-fest for BCB North Zone and Prime Bank South Zone


Hundreds from Tushar Imran & Mohammad Mithun gave Prime Bank South Zone a solid start at the first day of sixth round of Bangladesh Cricket league (BCL). BCB North Zone also enjoyed a good day credit to their batsmen.

Imrul Kayes continues his good form by scoring another fifty and made an opening partnership of 88 with Fazle Mahmud. Mosharrraf Hossain broke the opening partnership by picking up the wicket of Fazle Mahmud. Soon Imrul Kayes followed him after dismissed by Shuvagata Hom.

The rest of the day was all about Tushar Imran & Mohammad Mithun who made an unbeaten partnership of 213 runs in the third wicket. Mohammad Mithun scored 127 runs from 179 with thirteen four and three sixes. On the other hand Tushar Imran scored 101 runs from 161 balls including nine boundaries. Prime Bank South Zone scored 325 for 2 wickets at the end of the first day.

On the other match of the day BCB North Zone have posted 305 runs losing 5 wickets after end of the first day. Mohammad Saifuddin gave early breath-through in the morning dismissing Jahurul Islam for Islami Bank East Zone. Then Junaid Siddique and Farhad Hossain started to repair the innings and made a partnership of 210 runs.

Farhad was dismissed after scoring 108 runs. Saifuddin broke the partnership and picked up the wicket of Farhad. Then Naeem Islam & Junaid Siddique got out in a quick succession. Two new batsmen Nasir Hossain and Nazmul Hossain Shanto were all set to finish the day. But Nasir got out on 40. Nazmul Hasan Shanto is unbeaten on 33 and Dhiman Ghosh is on 4 at the end of the day. Mohammad Saifuddin was the best bowler for Islami Bank East Zone picking up 2 wickets for 42.
