NEW SALARY STRUCTURE AND MATCH FEES FOR NATIONAL TEAM CONTRACTED CRICKETERS

 

The Board has approved the following new salary structure and match fees for National Team Contracted players –

SHAKIB AL HASAN APPOINTED BANGLADESH T20 CAPTAIN

 

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been appointed Captain of  the Bangladesh Twenty20 Team. He takes over from Masrafe Bin Mortaza who has announced his retirement from Twenty20 internationals.   

 

COMMITTEE FORMED TO INVESTIGATE 2ND DIVISION CRICKET LEAGUE MATCH

 

The Board has formed a three-member committee comprising BCB Directors Jalal Yunus, Akram Khan and Sheikh Sohel to investigate allegations of irregularity in a Dhaka 2nd Division Cricket League match between Lalmatia Club and Axiom Cricketers held on 11 April 2017. The committee has been asked to submit a report in three days.

 

BANGLADESH NATIONAL TEAM SPONSORSHIP

 

Auction for Bangladesh National Team sponsorship rights will be held on 29 April 2017. Floor Price for bidders has been fixed at BDT 60 crore for a duration of two years.

 

UMPIRES’ MATCH FEES

 

The Board has agreed in principle to raise Match Fees for the umpires.

 

SHEIKH SOHEL TO HEAD UMPIRES COMMITTEE

 

BCB Director Sheikh Sohel will act as the interim  Chairman of the Umpires Committee. The position became vacant with the passing away of Board Director Nazmul Karim Tinku who was performing the role of the Chairman of the Committee at the time of his death.
