Jahurul Islam’s 96 helped Gazi Group Cricketers to clinch a victory in the 2nd day of 6th round in Walton Premier Division Cricket League 2016-17. Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samiti and Sk. Jamal Dhanmondi Club also won their respective matches.
Batting first at BKSP-3, Khelaghar posted 303 for 7 in 50 overs thanks to Robiul Islam Robi’s 107. In reply Victoria Sporting Club managed to score 246 for 9 in 50 overs.
Gazi Group Cricketers beat Partex Sporting Club by 4 wickets at BKSP-4. Fifties from Jatin Saxena and Irfaan Sukkur helped Partex to post 270 for 9 in 50 overs. Jahurul Islam guided his team to victory with 96 from 122 balls including 11 fours and 1 six.
Prasant Chopra’s 106 and Tanvir Haider’s 5 wicket haul helped Sk. Jamal Dhanmondi Club to beat Brothers Union by 92 runs at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah. Opting to bat first Sk. Jamal posted 303 for 7 in 50 overs. Despite Farhad Hossain’s 70, Brothers Union were bowled out for 217 in 43.5 overs.
