For the first time in the tour, BCB HP bowlers found it hard to dominate the day at Marrara, Darwin. Host Northern Territory scored 316/4 in the second day of the three day match. BCB HP declared their innings scoring 312/6 after the first day.

Host NT XI started the day with a opening partnership of 84 runs. Then Nihaduzzaman gave the first breakthrough for HP by dismissing Mcsweeney for 40 runs. Tanbir Hayder struck for the first time of the innings and got rid of Gregory for 17 runs. Then it was all about NT XI. They only lost one wicket later. Hackney was dismissed on 97 runs giving Tanbir his second success of the day. Dickman was unbeaten on 102 and Doyle at 46 runs at the end of the day.
