An impressive performance from the bowlers has helped Bangladesh A to dominate the first day of the 4-day match against Ireland A at Sylhet International Stadium, Sylhet. At the end of the first day, Bangladesh A team are trailing by 217 runs with 9 wickets in hand.
After winning the toss, Ireland chose to bat first. Ebadat Hossain gave the first breakthrough to Bangladesh A team by dismissing Shannon with a duck. Sunzamul Islam bowled Jack Tector out on 18. Mahadi Hasan took the next wicket of Andy Balbirnie on 10. Sean Terry and Simi Singh added 79 runs in the fourth wicket. Then Ebadat dismissed Terry on 20.
Ireland were losing wickets in regular intervals but a century from Simi Singh and a half-century from Andy Mcbrine helped them score past 250. Ireland A were all out for 255 in 74.5 overs. Mahadi bagged 3 wickets for 47. Ebadat, Rabbi and Jubair got 2 wickets each.
In reply Bangladesh A ended the day on 38 for 1. Zakir Hossan was dismissed after scoring 1. Sadman Islam remained not out on 22 ands skipper Nazmul Hossain on 15.
