Rajshahi Kings kept their hope alive to qualify for the playoffs with a 33-run victory over Chittagong Vikings in the 33th match of AKS BPL 2017 Powered by Shah Cement.

Rajshahi Kings decided to bat first after winning the toss at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong. After a slow start, skipper Darren Sammy and Mushfiqur Rahim played two crucial innings which powered Rajshahi Kings to a decent total of 157 for 6 after 20 overs. Sammy was dismissed after scoring 40 off 25 balls and Mushfiqur scored 31. Luis Reece took 3 wickets for 33.

In reply, Chittagong Vikings lost captain Luke Ronchi in the first over for 8. Anamul Haque and Stiaan van Zyl tried to put some fightback but it was not enough as the Rajshahi Kings bowlers picking up wickets in regular intervals. Chittagong were bowled out for 124 in 19.2 overs. Kazi Anik was the standout bowler for Rajshahi Kings who bagged 4 wickets for 17.

Darren Sammy was named man of the match.
