Mominul Haque’s double ton propelled Islami Bank East Zone to a commanding position against Prime Bank South Zone after end of the second day of 6th Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL).

Islami Bank East Zone posted a mammoth total of 546 in their first innings thanks to Mominul Haque’s double hundred.

Mominul was well supported by Zakir Hasan who was dismissed after scoring 119. Abdur Razzak claimed 6 wickets for 178.

Prime Bank South Zone.ended the second day on 128 for 3. Mosaddek Hossain was not out on 42 and Tushar Imran was on 22. Shohag Gazi took 2 wickets for 39.

BCB North Zone batsmen dominated the day and helped North Zone to take a big lead in the first innings. Jahurul Islam remained not out on 152 at the end of the day. Dhiman Ghosh missed his century by 7 runs after Mosharraf Hossain bowl him out om 93. Taskin Ahmed picked up 3 wickets for 116 for Walton Central Zone.
