Bangladesh U19 team finished their group campaign with a 7-wicket defeat against England U19 in the group C match of ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2018. Bangladesh previously won the first two matches against Namibia and Canada.

Batting first Bangladesh U19 were all sorts of trouble after losing 4 wickets for only 27. Then Afif Hossain and Aminul Islam came to the rescue for the Tigers and added 94 runs in the 4th wicket partnership. But another batting collapse restricted Bangladesh’s total to 175 in 49.2 overs. Afif scored the highest knock of 63 off 83 balls.

Defending a low total, bowlers gave a good start by removing England U19’s 3 wickets for 49. Then it was all about English skipper Harry Brook who scored a unbeaten knock of 102  to give his side a 7-wicket victory. Qazi Onik, Hasan Mahmud and Nayeem Hasan shared one wicket each.
