West Indies : 201/2 in 68 overs (Brathwaite 88*, D Smith 58, K Powell 48; Mahmudullah 1/6, Abu Jayed 1/55)
Bangladesh faced nightmare start in the first Test as the host West Indies took charge after taking 158 runs lead at stumps of day one with 8 wickets in hand. Earlier Bangladesh were bowled out for 43 in the first innings.
Bangladesh have lost the toss and put into bat first Antigua. Kemar Roach put Bangladesh in deep trouble after picking up all the first 5 wickets for only 18. Top scorer Liton Kumar Das tried to rebuild the innings but it was not enough as Bangladesh were all out for 43 in 18.4 overs. Liton was dismissed after scoring 25. Roach bagged 5 for 8.
Kraigg Brathwaite and Devon Smith gave West Indies a solid start with the opening stand of 113. Debutant Abu Jayed broke the partnership after picking up the wicket of Smith on 58. Just before end of the days play, Mahmudullah gave the second breakthrough with the wicket of Kieren Powell on 48. West Indies ended the day on 201 for 2 in 68 overs. Brathwaite was remained not out on 88 and Devendra Bishoo was on 1.
