Bangladesh suffer batting collapse at Sabina Park

Bangladesh suffered another batting collapse in the series as West Indies took a 224-run lead at the end of the second day second Test at Sabaina Parl, Jamaica.

Bangladesh started the second day perfectly as they bowled West Indies out for 354 before lunch thanks to Mehidy Hasan’s 5-wicket haul. Mehidy took 5 wickets for 93. Abu Jayed bagged 3 wickets for 38 and Taijul picked up 2 wickets for 90.

Bangladesh started the innings slowly but Gabriel and Holder’s two 2-wicket overs put Bangladesh trouble on 79 for 4 before the tea break. Tamim stood out and played an knock of 47 off 105 balls but debutant Keemo got him before 3 runs short of his fifty. Holder struck three more time to bowl out the Bangladesh first inning on 149. Holder grabbed 5 wickets for 44.

Leading by 205 runs, Windies decided to bat and posted 19 for 1 at stumps of day three. Shakib got rid of first innings centurion Kraigg Brathwaite on 8 in the last over of the day.
