Bangladesh Under 19s have secured a breathtaking 13-run victory in the first Youth Test against Sri Lanka Under 19s at Colombo. With the win, Bangladesh take 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
Young Tigers started the day with 18 for 1 with a lead of 39. But Sri Lanka bowlers fought back in the early morning by taking wickets in regular intervals. Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for 115 in the second innings and set a target of 137 for the hosts.
Defending a low total, Sahin Alam and Rakibul Hasan shared 3 wickets each to restrict Sri Lanka for 123 in 43.3 overs and ensured 13 runs win. Shamim and Shoriful chipped in with one wicket each.
