Result : New Zealand won by 88 runs.

Bangladesh lost the third and final ODI at Dunedin despite the fight-back by Sabbir Rahman and the tail-enders. New Zealand won the series by 3-0.

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has won the toss and put the hosts to bat first. Skipper provided the early breakthrough by trapping Colin Munro lbw for 8. Then Saifuddin removed the in-from Martin Guptill on 29. But rest of the Kiwi batsmen were all on song as they scored runs maintaining a fatty run rate. Fifties from Taylor, Nicholls and Latham put the hosts in driving position.

Then Grandhomme and Neesham charged the Bangladesh bowlers in the later overs with two quickfire 37’s as they posted a total of 330 for 6 in 50 overs. Mustafizur Rahman picked up 2 wickets but conceded 93 runs in expense.

Bangladeshi top order was not up to the mark in response to the mammoth target of 342 runs as the Tigers lost 4 wickets for just 40 inside 10 overs. Mahmidullah too got out early as Bangladesh were reduced to 61 for 5. But then Sabbir Rahman and Saifuddin added 101 runs in the sixth wicket to provide some fightback. Boult broke partnership and got rid of Saifuddin on 44. Mehidy Hasan then chipped in with 37 during the 8th wicket partnership of 67 with Sabbir.

Sabbir on the other end played an stroke-full knock and picking up his maiden International century before dismissed as the last batman on 102. Bangladesh eventually all out for 242 in 47.2 overs and lost the match by 88 runs. Tim Southee bagged 6 wickets for 65.

Bangladesh will face New Zealand in three-match Test series which will commence from February 28 at Hamilton.
