Abahani clicnh third succesive victory in DPDCL

Defending champion Abahani Limited made it three in three as they sealed a 14-run win against Borther Union on the 1st day of 3rd round of Walton Dhaka Premier Division Cricket league 2018-19. Lt. Sk. Jamal Dhanmondi Club Ltd. and Prime Bank Sporting Club also won their respective matches on the other two matches of the day.

Batting first, Abahani managed to post 236 for 6 after 50 overs thanks to fifties from Mohammad Saifuddin and Mosaddek Hossain. Saifuddin was remained unbeaten on 59. In reply, Brothers were fell 14 runs short of victory despite Yasir Ali’s fighting knock of 111.

Seikh Jamal picked up their first victory in the season as they went onto beat Shinepukur by 12 runs in a low-scoring thriller. Defending 106, Sheikh Jamal bowlers restricted Shinepukur for just 94 to seal the match as Ziaur Rahman grabbed 5 wickets for 23.

At BKSP-3, Prime Bank comphrnsively beat Rupganj by 9 wickets chasing 164 thanks to Anamul Haque’s unbeaten century.
