Bangladesh have started the Sri Lanka tour with a victory as they defeated Sri Lanka Board President’s XI by 5 wickets in the only practice match at P Sara Oval, Colombo. Bangladesh chased down the target of 285 in 48.1 overs with 5 wickets remaining. Mohammad Mithun shone with the bat scoring an 90-run knock batting at number three. Mushfiqur Rahim chipped in with 50. Earlier, Sri Lanka Board President’s XI posted 282 for 6. Soumya Sarkar and Rubel Hossain shared 2 wickets each.
The 3-match ODI series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will start from July 26 at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
