In a rain-affected day at Chattogram, Tigers face another batting collapse in the second innings as Afghanistan ended the fourth day on a strong position. Bangladesh need 282 more runs to win on the final day while the visitors need 4 wickets to clinch victory.

Afghanistan started the day with the overnight score of 237 for 8 after rain washed out most of the first session play. They added 23 more runs to their total and bowled out for 260 with a mammoth lead of 397 runs. Shakib was the most successful bowler with 3 wickets for 58.

New opening pair Shadman Islam and Liton Kumar Das started well before Zahir Khan got rid of him on 9. Mosaddek Hossain and Mushfiqur Rahim both got the start but failed to make it big as Afghanistan bowlers kept taking wickets in regular intervals. Shadman put some fightback with a gutsy 114-ball 41-run knock but Mohammad Nabi trapped him lbw after the tea break to put Bangladesh in a big trouble.

Rashid Khan then dismissed Mahmudullah on 7 to reduce the Tigers for 126 for 6. Shakib was unbeaten on 39 and Soumya Sarkar was on 0 before the rain stopped the play. Rashid picked up 3 wickets for 46.

Tomorrow (Monday) the match will start from 9:30 am (Local time).
