Tigers had a tough day in Rajkot as the hosts leveled the series with a 8-wicket victory in the second T20I. Third and final match of the series will be held on November 10 in Nagpur.

India have chased down the target of 154 comprehensively thanks to Rohit Sharma’s blistering 85 off just 43 balls. His opening partner Shikhar Dhawan contributed 31 runs as the pair took the match away from Bangladesh with a 118-run stand. Then leg spinner Aminul Biplob removed both in spaceof two overs. But it was too late as Shreyas Iyer gave the finishing touch to seal the match with 26 balls remaining who remained unbeaten on 24.

Earlier India put Bangladesh into bat first after winning the toss. Mahmudullah’s team played with an unchanged playing eleven from the last match. Liton Das and Naim Sheikh gave Bangladesh a flying start with a opening partnership of 60 runs in 7.2 overs. Liton was run out on 29 while Naim was dismissed after scoring 36.

Following their departure, it was Soumya Sarkar and skipper Mahmudullah both looked good before dismissed for 30’s. But some brilliant death bowling from the Indian bowlers have restricted the Tigers from posting a big total. Bangladesh posted 153 for 6 after 20 overs. Yuzvendra Chahal picked up 2 wickets for 28.
