Result : Dhaka Platoon won by 61 runs.

Player of the Match : Shadab Khan.

A clinical Dhaka Paltoon outplayed Rangpur Rangers in a one sided clash to seal their 7th win in the competition. Defending 145, Platoon bowlers were too good for the Rangers as they all out for 84 runs. This win confirmed Dhaka’s place in the playoffs while Rangers are now out of the competition following the defeat.

Earlier Rangers skipper Shane Watson decided to bowl first after winning the toss and his bowlers responded well by picking up wickets in regular intervals to put the Paltoon in trouble. At one stage they lost 7 wickets for 104 in the 17th over. But a late cameo knock from Shadab Khan rescued them from the batting collapse and ensured a fighting total on the board. Shadab remained unbeaten on 31 off 19 balls as Platoon posted 145 for 9. Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed bagged 3 wickets each.

Rangers had a nightmare start as they lost both opener Naim Sheikh and Shane Watson in the first over of Mahedi Hasan. They never recovered from that damage and kept losing wickets to eventually bowl out for just 84 runs in 15.3 overs. Mahedi picked up 3 wickets for 13.
