Pakistan : 342/3 in 87.5 overs (Babar 143*, Masood 100, Shafiq 60*; Abu Jayed 2/66, Taijul 1/111)

Following a disappointing batting display in the first day, Bangladesh had another tough day on the field with the ball. Babar Azam and Shan Masood’s century put Pakistan in a strong position at stumps of the second day as they ended the day with a 109-run lead with 7 wickets in hand.

Tigers had a solid start in the morning as Abu Jayed gave breakthrough in the second overs dismissing Abid Ali for a duck. Post lunch, Abu Jayed again struck with the wicket of Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali on 34. Opener Shan Masood and Babar Azam then frustrated the bowlers as they added 108 runs before Taijul Islam bowled Masood out for 100.

Babar Azam on the other end stayed solid and picked up his century and made an unbeaten 137-run partnership with Asad Shafiq. Babar was remained unbeaten on 143 while his partner Shafiq was on 60 as Pakistan ended on posting 342 for 3 before umpired called for a early end to the days play.
