Bangladesh took the commanding position in the Only Test against Zimbabwe at the end of third day thanks to Mushfiur Rahim’s third double century in Tests. The visitors found them-self in sorts of trouble after losing couple of wickets in the evening session and they are still 286 runs behind with 8 wickets in hand.
Bangladesh started the day with the overnight score of 240 for 3. Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur batted the morning session without trouble. Mominul was finally dismissed after picking up his 9th Test century. Ndlovu got rid of him on 132 to broke the 222 runs stand in the 4th wicket. Mohammad Mithun then came the crease but got out cheaply on 17.
Liton Kumar Das then joined with Mushfiqur as this partnership helped Bangladesh to take a big first innings lead. They added 111 runs before Liton was out by Raza on 53. Mushfiqur on the other end scored double century to help his side posting a mammoth total. Bangladesh finally declared their innings on 560 for 6 with a lead of 295 runs. Ndlovu was the most successful bowler with 2 wickets for 172.
Nayeem Hasan put Zimbabwe in more pressure up 2 wickets in the first over of the innings. Kasuza was remained unbeaten on 8 and Taylor was 1 as Zimbabwe scored 8 for 2 in 5 overs.
