Toss : Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first.

West Indies : 75/2 in 29 overs (Brathwaite 49*, Bonner 17*, Campbell 3; Mustafizur 2/18)
All-rounder Mehdiy Hasan Miraz’s maiden Test century has helped Bangladesh to further strength their position in the first Test against West Indies. At stumps of second day, the visitors are trailing by 355 runs.
Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Kumar Das resumed the innings for Bangladesh with the overnight score of 242 for 5. Liton managed to add just four more runs to his tally before Warrican bowled him out for 38. Shakib looked good on the other end before dismissed by Cornwall after picking up his 25th fifty.
Then it was all about Miraz who frustrated the West Indies bowlers throughout the second session of the day. Miraz got some key contributions from Taijul Islam and Nayeem Hasan to power Bangladesh score past the 400 runs mark. Before dismissed as the last batsman, Miraz scored an gusty knock of 103 and guided the Tigers to post 430 runs. It was Miraz’s first Test and International century as well.
With the ball, Mustafizur Rahman was sharp from the start and he got his reward by getting 2 early wickets for 18. Then Brathwaite and Bonner ended the day for West Indies with an unbeaten 51 runs partnership. Brathwaite was not out on 49 and Bonner was on 17. West Indies posted 75 for 2 before end of the day’s play.
