Toss : Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to bat first.

Zimbabwe : 166/6 in 20 overs (Madhevere 73, Burl 34*, Myers 26; Shoriful 3/33, Mahedi 1/11, Shakib 1/32)

Bangladesh : 143/10 in 19.5 overs (Shamim 29, Afif 24, Mahedi 15; Jongwe 3/31, Muzarabani 2/21, Chatara 2/24)

Result : Zimbabwe won by 23 runs.

After a all-round display in the first match, Bangladesh tested their first defeat in the tour as Zimbabwe won the second T20I by 23 runs to level the series 1-1. Third and final match of the series will be held on July 25.

Chasing 167, Bangladesh lost the both the in-form openers for 17. Mahedi Hasan and Shakib Al Hasan got the start but they failed to make their innings big as Zimbabwe kept taking wickets to reduce Bangladesh for 68 for 6.

Then came the debutant Shamim Hossain who marked his international match with a first-ball boundary. His attacking batting gave some hope to the Tigers before he thrown away his 13-ball 29-run knock in search for a big hit. Afif Hossain and Mohammad Saifuddin tried but their effort was way off to the target as Bangladesh were all out for 143 runs in the 20th over. Jongwe bagged 3 wickets for 31.

Earlier Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to bat first. Bangladesh made two changes from the first match as Shamim and Shoriful Islam came to the replacing Liton Kumar Das and Mustafizur Rahman.

Mahedi gave the early breakthrough by picked up the wicket of Marumani for 3. Madhevere mainated his good run as he went onto score 73 off 57 balls. Despite his knock, the visiting bowlers kept the run rate in control until Burl take the match away with his quick-fire unbeaten 34 runs. Zimbabwe ended their innings on 166 for 6. Shoriful was the standout bowler with 3 for 33.
