Result : Bangladesh won by 5 wickets.

Soumya Sarkar shone with bat and ball as his all-round heroics powered Bangladesh to clinch the T20I series against Zimbabwe. Bangladesh chased down the target of 194 thanks to Soumya’s fifty and U-19 sensation Shamim Hossain’s blistering knock helped Mahmudullah’s side win the series 2-1.
Like the second match, the hosts won the toss and opted to bat first. Bangladesh made one change in the playing eleven as Left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed replaced all-rounder Mahedi Hasan.
Zimbabwe were off to a flyer in the powerplay as they added 63 runs before losing opener Marumani for 27. Chakabva then slogged over the Bangladesh bowlers with is 22-ball 48-ball kncok including 6 sixes. Finally it was Soumya who stopped him on the 12th over where he also bowled Sikandar for a duck.
On the other end Shakib Al Hasan removed the highest scorer Madehevere for 54. At that point, Tigers were looking to restrict them under 180 runs but Burl played a unbeaten 31 runs of 15 balls to help his side score past the 190 runs mark.
Naim Sheikh gone early in the big chase. Then it was the 50 runs second wicket partnership between Soumya and Shakib increased the run rate. Shakib dismissed after scoring 25 but Soumya picked up second fifty in the series. Jongwe got rid off him on 68. Next batsman Afif Hossain stayed little time in the crease but scored a valuable 5-ball 14 runs kncok.
Skipper Mahmudullah kept the fight on but require run rate was increasing. Then came young sensation Shamim Hossain who was playing his second international match. Shamim counter attacked the Zimbabwe bowlers and in no time snatched the match from their hand. Shamim remained not out on 31 in just 15 balls to power Bangladesh a memorable win with 5 wickets and 4 balls to spare. Muzarabani and Jongwe shared 2 wickets each for Zimbabwe.
Soumya named the player of the match. He also named the player of the series where he scored 126 runs and picked up 3 wickets.
