Bangladesh suffer defeat in their last match of Super 12 against Australia by 8 wickets. With the defeat, Tigers journey for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 came to an end.

Earlier in the evening, Finch won the toss and invited Bangladesh to bat first. Mustafizur Rahman came in the Tigers playing eleven in place of Nasum Ahmed.

Australia bowlers kept the batsmen in pressure as they removed the first 3 wickets for just 10. Bangladesh never recovered from the top order batting collapse and kept losing wickets in regular intervals. Only three batsmen were able to touch the double digits with Shamim Hossain scored the highest knock of 19.

Mahmudullah’s side lost their last 5 wickets for 11 runs and were all out for 73. Zampa made the difference with his career best bowling figure of 5 for 19.

In reply, Finch hammered the Bangladesh bowlers and scored an quickfire 40 runs knock. Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam shared 1 wicket each before Australia won the match in 7th over.
