5-day training course for Umpires ends on Thursday

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) arranged a 5-day training course to promote new qualified umpires at district level around the country.

The course was started on 6th August and will end on 10th August. After four days of training, there will be an examination for the participants in the fifth day to conclude the course.

18 Districts of Dhaka Division are divided into 2 groups. Participating 9 Districts of the first part of the training are : Faridpur, Gopalganj, Shariatpur, Madaripur, Rajabari, Manikganj, Tangail, Narayanganj, Gazipur. Members from Jahangirnagar University and Bangladesh University of Professionals are also attending in the program. Rest of the 9 Districts will participate in the second part of the training course later.

The course is directed by former National Cricketer and International Umpire Enamul Haque Moni. Umpire Department’s Avi Abdullah Al Noman, Afzalur Rahman Masud and Towhidul Islam are in association with Enamul Haque for the course.

Shoylab Hossain Tutul (General Secretary of Bangladesh Cricket Umpires and Scorer Association), S. M. Rakibul Hasan (Chief Match Referee, BCB) and Mushfiqur Rahman Mosabbir (Member of Umpire Committee, BCB) have attended  the course as guests.
