CONDOLENCE: Nazmul Karim Tinku




Nazmul Karim Tinku  (1959-2017)



The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expresses deep bereavement at the passing away of Board Member Nazmul Karim Tinku.


Mr Tinku breathed his last in Dhaka today following a cardiac arrest. He was 58. The BCB extends heartfelt sympathies to his family members and near ones.


A Namaz-e-Janaza for the Late Nazmul Karim Tinku will be held at the BCB National Cricket Academy Ground at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur tomorrow (Wednesday, 19 April) at 10h00.


As a mark of respect to the departed, the BCB flag at all establishments of the Board will fly at half-mast on Wednesday and all scheduled matches under the jurisdiction of the Board on the day have been postponed.


At the time of his death Nazmul Karim Tinku had been serving the BCB as a Director and was Chairman of the Board’s Umpires Committee. An eminent cricket organiser,  Mr Tinku was the General Secretary of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League club Kalabagan Krira Chakra and had been elected to the Board in 2013 as a councilor of the club.
