Bangladesh A beat Ireland A by 76 runs in the fifth and final match of the 5-match one-dayer series at Cox’s Bazar and clinch the series 4-0. First match was abandoned due to rain.

Ireland chose to field first after winning the toss. Anamal Haque got out early in the inning on 13. After the departure of Nazmul Hossain on 26, Sadman Islam and Yasir Ali added 132 runs in the third wicket. Sadman was dismissed after scoring 68.

Unbeaten century from Yasir and little contributions from Al-Amin Jr, Tanvir Haider and Zakir Hasan helped Bangladesh A to post 286 for 6 in 50 overs. Yasir remained not out on 102 off 101 balls including 8 fours and 5 sixes.

Chasing 287, Ireland A lost their first wicket on 17 after Ali Enam dismissed Sean Terry on 3. Sanzamul bowled Andrew Balbirnie out on 4. Then Jack Tector and John Anderson made a 83 run partnership in the third wicket and led Ireland A’s fightback. Ali Enam got rid of Tector on 66. Soon Abu Haydar joined the party and picked up 3 wickets in quick-succession. Sanzamul, Tanvir and Mehedi Hasan shared the last few wickets as Ireland A were bowled out for 210 in 43.4 overs. Abu Haydar picked up 3 wickets for 38.
