Earlier Dinesh Chandimal’s hundred and tail-enders fight back helped Sri Lanka to post 338 runs in their 1st innings at Colombo. Mehedi Hasan was the most successful bowler for Bangladesh with 3 for 90.

Chandimal and Rangana Herath added 55 runs in the 8th wicket. Finally Shakib Al Hasan broke this partnership and picked up the wicket of Hearth on 25. Mehedi Hasan dismissed the centurion Chandimal on 138.

Suranga Lakmal scored his career best 35 runs and was the last man to be dismissed by Subashis Roy.
