Bangladesh defeated by New Zealand by 4 wickets

Bangladesh : 257/9 in 50 overs (Soumya 61, Mushfiqur 55, Mahmudullah 51, Bennett 3/31, Sodhi 2/40, Neesham 2/68)


New Zealand : 258/6 in 47.3 overs (Latham 54, Neesham 52, Broom 48, Mustafizur 2/33, Rubel 2/53, Mashrafe 1/58)


Result : New Zealand won by 4 wickets.


Bangladesh lost their 2nd match against New Zealand by 5 wickets in the Tri-Nation series. First match between Ireland and Bangladesh was abandoned due to rain.


Batting first Bangladesh posted 257 for 9 at Clontarf Cricket Club Ground, Dublin. Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah all scored fifty while Mosaddek Hossain chipped in with 41 off 41 balls. Hamish Bennett picked up 3 for 31.


In reply New Zealand chased down the target in 47.3 overs with 4 wickets in hand thanks to Tom Latham and Jimmy Neesham’s fifty. Mustafizur Rahman & Rubel Hossain both grabbed 2 wickets each.


Bangladesh will play their next match against Ireland at Malahide, Dublin on 19th May.
