Tigers have enjoyed a run-fest day on the first day of practice match against New Zealand XI at Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln. Bangladesh ended the day on 411 for 6 in 96.1 overs.


Mahmudullah opted to bat first after winning the toss. Tamim Iqbal and Shadman Islam gave a good start with a 113-run stand. Tamim was dismissed after scoring 45 while top scorer Shadman got out on 67. Then Liton Kumar, Mahmudullah and Mehidy Hasan Miraz brought up fifties before retired hurt to give other batters a chance to bat. Tail-enders also contributed well to help Bangladesh score past the 400-runs mark.
