Bangladesh face uphill task at Mirpur

Bangladesh : 110/10 in 45.4 overs (Miraz 38*, Liton 26, Imrul 19; Dhananjaya 3/20, Lakmal 3/25)

Sri Lanka : 200/8 in 62 overs (2nd innings) (Roshen 58*, Karunaratne 32, Mustafizur 3/35, Miraz 2/29)

Another day of domination from the bowlers saw 14 wickets fell apart on the second day of second Rocket Test at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. At the end of the day, Sri Lanka lead by 312 runs with 2 wickets in hand.

Bangladesh started the day with the two overnight batsmen Liton Kumar Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz on the crease. Suranga Lakmal bowled Liton out on 25 early in the morning. Skipper Mahmudullah tried to put some fightback with Miraz but got dismissed on 17. Bangladesh lost the last 5 wickets for only 3 runs and were all out for 110 in 45.4 overs. Miraz remained not out on 38. Dhananjaya and Lakmal both shared 2 wickets each.

Sri Lanka have started their second innings with a healthy 112-run lead. Couple of small innings from Karunaratne, Dhananjaya and Chandimal helped Sri Lanka to add valuable runs to the total. But Bangladesh came back to the match with some late wickets thanks to Mustafizur Rahman and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

Despite losing partners on the other end, Roshen Silva scored his second fifty of the match and guided Sri Lanka to take the lead over 300. Sri Lanka ended the day on 200 for 8 in 62 overs. Roshen was remained unbeaten on 58. Mustafizur grabbed 3 wickets for 35.
